A little background

Triumph Martial Arts incorporates two martial arts schools run by Triumph’s Chief Instructor Harry Limer – 헤리 리머. tma-gold-dragon

Harry is a professional martial arts instructor who began training in Taekwon-Do in 1985. During that time Harry has trained with many different Taekwon-Do Organisations and various martial arts Masters. Couple this with 14 years Military and providing Public Service since 2001, Harry has a wealth of experience and knowledge to draw upon when teaching students.

The two martial arts schools cover:- Taekwon-Do through the Aston Taekwon-Do (ATKD) as part of the services offered by the Aston Project, a Gloucestershire Constabulary initiative to work with local children and families.

Triumph Haidong Gumdo Hwang Yong – teaching the Korean way of the sword. Harry is also the current National Leader of the United Kingdom’s Haidong Gumdo Association.

 

Safety

Triumph Martial Arts are fully licenced and insured to teach and instruct Taekwon-Do and Kenjutsu. Harry is registered with the NAKMAS National Governing Body and is certified on the NAKMAS National Register of Qualified Black Belts as 4th Dan Taekwon-Do and United Kingdom Head Instructor for Haidong Gumdo.

As you would expect Harry is an accredited first aider and has the necessary government clearance (DBS) to work with children and vulnerable people.

Through training with Triumph Martial Arts you will gain a greater degree of self awareness, your surroundings and of those around you. You will be better equipped to handle confrontational situations by learning elements of the use of force continuum and understand the level of force that can be used in a hostile environment. All of this goes to giving you the upper hand in a situation against an untrained person.

Triumph Martial Arts is underpinned by traditional values and virtues of the martial arts principles. Classes are delivered in a friendly approach alongside a disciplined training method. Students are encouraged to progress at their pace regardless of ability. The goal is one step at a time, leading to your over all self improvement.
