Triumph Taekwon-Do
Triumph Taekwon-Do (TTKD) is proudly led by Chief Instructor Harry Limer, a 5th Dan Black Belt who teaches the Chang Hon system of traditional ITF Taekwon-Do, as established by General Choi Hong Hi.
Through Harry’s Taekwon-Do experiences, it became necessary to find the true essence of Taekwon-Do as established by General Choi Hong Hi and brought to the UK by Pioneer First Grand Master Rhee Ki Ha.
Understanding this foundational legacy was pivotal for Harry, leading him to align Triumph Taekwon-Do with ACE, (Authentic Centres of Excellence for Taekwon-Do).
Within this alignment, First Grand Master Rhee Ki Ha (FGMR) serves as the patron, while the only two British Grand Masters promoted to 9th Dan by FGMR are the president and vice president of ACE. They play a vital role in personally maintaining Harry’s professional development in accordance with the founding principles of Taekwon-Do.
“Lineage is everything; without it, over time, Taekwon-Do ceases to be Taekwon-Do. This commitment to preserving the art form’s authenticity and heritage remains central to Harry’s mission at Triumph Taekwon-Do.”
Community Focus
TTKD was founded as an initiative to engage with the local community, providing a safe, positive space for local children and families. Harry envisioned TTKD as a place where individuals could flourish and develop essential life skills.
Empowering Students
At Triumph Taekwon-Do, we believe in fostering a nurturing environment where students can embrace a healthier lifestyle while pursuing their passion for martial arts. Our classes not only promote physical fitness but also cultivate focus, discipline, and self-confidence. By engaging in Taekwon-Do, students are encouraged to channel their energy productively, reducing the temptation to engage in negative behaviors.
Professional and Safe Environment
TTKD is fully licensed and insured, ensuring a safe and supportive setting for all participants. Chief Instructor Harry Limer is registered with the NAKMAS National Governing Body and is listed in the Nakmas National Register of Qualified Black Belts as a 5th Dan practitioner. In addition to his Taekwon-Do credentials, Harry is a certified first aider and possesses the necessary government clearance (DBS) to work with children and vulnerable individuals.
